Meet Our Executive Chef, Robert Fry
Evil Twin Executive Chef Robert Fry has a longstanding love for the culinary arts, a passion he inherited from his family, working alongside his mother at the Diamond Club at Angel Stadium. A true Angeleno and native of Long Beach, Robert’s professional journey took him from a formal education at Le Cordon Bleu in 2013 to working at the famed River Café in London, and then on to world-renowned British chef Heston Blumenthal’s Michelin-starred Dinner by Heston.
Robert’s heart has always belonged to the City of Angels, and he returned to his hometown to gain experience in a number of notable Los Angeles restaurants. After another stint in vibrant, diverse London, he returned to LA once more in 2023 for a very good reason (besides spending more time with his family): taking on the role of executive chef at Evil Twin.
A wide range of qualities and experience made Robert a perfect fit for the job, including a growing curiosity around pairing fine cuisine with natural wines and craft beers, and the desire to interpret classic French cuisine with California’s wealth of top-quality locally sourced ingredients. Along with Elfie and Dylan, Robert cultivates an environment of creativity at both Evil Twin and sister eatery Hotcakes Bakes that has quickly garnered the attention and acclaim of diners and reviewers alike.
